Gaming Room - Detailed Plans
by
Cullien DeChezeray
Here is the new room we have designed for Willow Hall.
We understand that there will be an Influence Points and possibly a silver cost to do the entire room(s).
Please note that our dartboard should go in this room
Please note that we want to add a vault to this room to store gems.
Please write to: GSApothecary@aol.com to discuss edits and what can and cannot be done
Thanks!
Cullien
[Willow Hall, Gaming Lounge]
The room is paneled with exotic woods and the floors are covered with plush-woven carpets. Potted palms occupy cozy corners and an overhead lantern illuminates one well-done painting. Several gaming tables, covered with green felt, are bathed with overhead stained-glass lamps, dealers and croupiers at the ready. Against the far wall is a dartboard, complete with chalkboard for scorekeeping. A brass spittoon rests under a palm. Oddly, in a suspended cage near the dartboard, you see a pink-spotted thrak.
Obvious exits: South
Room will be situated NORTH of [Willow Hall, Pub]
No day or night messaging needed as there are no evident windows
The dart board should be what Xynwen is currently offering all houses. A playable dartboard with some means of keeping score.
I think the limit should be three players who each have different darts.
I am hoping the darts can be master fletched, which will allow for color and flights (feathers) differences
I am also hoping there will be some means of scorekeeping.
Look dartboard?
Look “specific dart”?
Just need to know
Look painting:
You see a wall painting of a group of kobolds playing poker at a lamp lit gaming table.
Pull Painting:
The painting swings out to reveal a dark recess
Go recess
[Willow Hall, Vault]
You find yourself in a shelf-lined vault, lit by one dim overhead lantern. Obvious exits: out
Look shelf (shelves)
You see……
Any kind of gem that can be placed on shelves
This will be a place we can store Gems for Adventurer’s Guild tasks
Gems should be “gettable” and placeable”
Look cage
You see a rare pink-spotted thrak
Poke cage (random messages)
The thrak hisses, “Bull’s eye? More like, bull’s arse (end?)!”
The thrak hisses, “You couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn!”
The thrak hisses, “Bull’s eye!”
The thrak hisses, “Better luck next time!”
The thrak hisses, “Buy me a drink and I’ll teach you how to throw darts!”
The thrak hisses, “A little to the left, next throw.”
The thrak hisses, “Give up and play poker.”
The thrak hisses. “Arrgh…nice shot!”
The thrak hisses, “Hit the board, not the wall!”
The thrak hisses, “I need a drink!”
Okay we got carried away on the above messaging…surprise us
Look spittoon
The shiny brass spittoon has a few dents here and there.
Look IN spittoon
You see viscous dregs of tobacco…YUCK!
Nudge spittoon
The brass spittoon tilts precariously
Poke spittoon
Do you really want to touch that goo?
Kick spittoon
You splatter the dregs of the spittoon over the plush carpets. What a mess! and a bouncer grabs you by the elbow and hurries you out of the room forcefully. (You would find yourself in Willow Hall, Pub)
General Mood messaging:
A stream of cigar smoke wafts through the room
A lucky player shouts, “I won!”
The hushed sound of players bets can be heard throughout the room.
The card players ignore the thwack of a dart hitting the board.
We added this in hopes that eventually we’ll be able to add more land-wide games to our gaming room.
